Acrobatic Gymnastics is an ancient activity that emphasizes the combination of dance and acrobatics. Gymnastics skills and pyramids are used in this sport. Acrobatic balances show grace, strength and flexibility. Choreography and synchronization add flare and creativity to each exercise.
This sport favors body control in various positions, both on the ground and in the air. Acrobatics is the back bone of the circus arts as well as a strong foundation for any sport. It is fun for athletes of any age and athletic ability. This is a partner sport requiring athletes of all ages, shapes, and sizes.
Zacada Circus School specializes in acrobatics as our owner and head coach Kostia is a 2 time silver medalist in the World Championships of Acrobatics. He also traveled and performed as an acrobat for 10 years with the famous Cirque du Soleil.
Recreational Acrobatics -This class teaches the basics of Acrobatics by focusing on flexibility and strength. Rolls,Cartwheels, Bridges, Walkovers, Handstands, Handsprings and Aerials are some of the skills introduced and developed to prepare the students for more difficult skills and improve technique. This class is offered to ages 6-12.
