Christine Cadeau | Co-Founder

Inspired by their experiences with the Cirque du Soleil, Christine and Kosta Zakharenko left the tour together to pursue their vision of combining elements of fitness and artistic expression, by founding the Zacada Circus School.

Christine grew up in Smithville, Ontario.

She began training in gymnastics and the unique sport of jump rope at the age of 7. Over the years she won many titles, including World Jump Rope Champion.

Christine performed and competed for 12 years, after which she graduated from Fanshawe College with a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion.

In 2001, Christine was offered a contract with Cirque du Soleil where she coached and performed for 5 years. During her time as a coach on Cirque’s “Quidam” show, she managed the skipping act involving 25 performers from 10 different countries.

Bringing their dream to life Christine and Kosta manage the circus school and with the help of their amazing team, direct and develop circus productions with their students.  They love seeing students find their passion in circus and providing opportunities for them to perform.  As a coach, Christine's areas of expertise include Skipping, Acro, Aerial apparatus skill development , and Artistic Performance.
